Alps Announces New Head of Business Development

Alps, a leading MGA specialising in insurance add-on policies, legal expenses, and claims solutions for intermediaries, has announced that it has promoted Martin Green to Head of Business Development.

Martin joined Alps in May 2024 as Compliance Officer. Based on his success, technical capabilities, and strong business development and broker relationship skills, Martin was quickly appointed as Sales Manager just 10 months later. His new role as Head of Business Development reflects his outstanding ability to build strong partnerships with brokers based on mutual success and the delivery of outstanding products and service.

Now part of the senior leadership team, Martin’s input will be invaluable in delivering the next stage of Alps’s ambitions, as it seeks to accelerate growth by bringing together great people, great technology, and an unwavering dedication to its philosophy to ‘always do the right thing’.

Speaking about the promotion Michelle O’Reilly, Managing Director at Alps, commented: “Our ambition is to become the UK’s leading add-on provider, delivering brokers with additional revenue and enhanced customer retention through innovative, outcomes-driven products and superior service. Central to achieving this ambition is the talent of our people. Martin has made a great contribution to our success since joining the team. With his energy, expertise, and vision, we’re confident he’ll continue to elevate our efforts to deliver even better outcomes for brokers and their clients and help drive growth.”

Alps offers a broad suite of add-on covers, including sole trader, commercial, landlord , and family legal expenses; motor-related add-ons, including excess protect, tools in transit, vehicle replacement, road rescue; and property-related add-ons, including landlord excess protect and home emergency, key cover and second property legal expenses.  The capacity for its products comes from a growing panel of highly capitalised insurers, and it operates several delegated authority arrangements, allowing it to offer brokers a fast and efficient service.
