Alps, a leading MGA provider of insurance add-on policies, legal expenses, and claims solutions for intermediaries, has signed a new three-year capacity deal with AmTrust International, a division of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., an A- rated global insurer. The broad delegated authority binder has been increased, representing an additional 25% in A-rated capacity as Alps seeks to expand both its product portfolio and award-winning claims service.
Under the agreement, Alps will have a direct binder with AmTrust for its motor, landlord, family and commercial legal protection products, as well as road rescue, motor excess, and sole trader add-ons distributed via its quote and bind platform, along with authority to sub-delegate. Alps also expands control of its claims and service provision via its group law firm, Alps Legal.
The new agreement was signed following a robust audit process, demonstrating that not only is Alps giving brokers access to a growing range of add-on solutions, but that it is also delivering the highest possible levels of operational best practice, service, and customer experience at every stage of the policyholder journey. The new binder comes at a time of strong growth at Alps, as it explores the potential of additional complementary schemes, and opportunities to widen the breadth of its claims handling activities.
Speaking about the AmTrust partnership Michelle O’Reilly, Managing Director at Alps commented: “We’re delighted to further extend our relationship with AmTrust. Like us they have a customer-centric culture, focus on sustainable growth, and desire to build market presence. By combining talent and technology we’re making it easier for brokers of all sizes to tap into a comprehensive range of add-on solutions written on A-rated paper, as well as peace of mind that their clients will receive specialist claims support.”
