Senior leadership team
Meet the Alps’ leaders who keep things running.
“Insurance and claims has been my entire 30+ year career. Most people say they fell into insurance but in my case it saved me from accountancy. Aged 18 I joined the industry as a trainee claims handler and rose through the ranks, but I became disillusioned by insurers who were too focussed on the numbers, not the customers. Being a ski instructor at the local slopes was my respite and both insurance and skiing have been life-long love affairs ever since. After a long career in claims working for firms like AGF and Direct Line, I was enticed to the legal industry, but always with a focus on claims and personal injury. A series of poorly run legal firms and a few years later I realised that there had to be a better way. In 1998, I set up Alps, an add-on provider and claims management firm with a simple mission – to do the right thing.”
“I first walked through the door of Alps as an apprentice software developer over 20 years ago. Through fantastic mentoring by Julian, Lee and Rex, a lot of good luck, a great team, and the occasional good idea – I have then progressed on my ALPS journey ever since. The journey took me through being IT Manager, then IT & Operations Director and finally in 2016 when ALPS joined the EOS community I was promoted to be Managing Director.”
“I began my career at Alps in the motor claims department whilst also completing my legal studies. In 2010 I qualified as a solicitor and in 2014 I helped to launch ALPS legal practice, becoming one of the first ABS’s and youngers managers to be authorised by the SRA. I am primarily responsible for overseeing our motor claims service from FNOL to litigation but I also have good knowledge and experience of our wider group products and services.”
“I began my career with Alps back in January 2008 as a Claims Handler. I subsequently went on to join the inhouse legal team focusing on litigated cases, LOE claims and personal injury. I later qualified as a solicitor in January 2013. In 2015 I continued my journey by becoming the Learning and Development Manager. In 2022 I accepted the role of Product Manager and was thrilled to be invited to the Senior Leadership Team as Head of Products in 2023.”
“I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) in Edinburgh in 1993. The start of my career was in private practice building my own practice in which I worked closely with Alps on a consultancy basis. I later joined the Alps team permanently in 2009 as Group Finance Director. I have successfully supported the significant growth of Alps and later also became the head of HR.”
“I started out as a software developer in 2013 for a standalone software company, still under the Alps umbrella, building smart systems for Alps. As Alps grew, the companies merged into one, and the IT department was brought in-house to purely focus our efforts on this company. At this point I was promoted to IT Manager. In time, with my continued improvement and growth, I joined the senior leadership team as the new Head of IT.”
“I joined Alps in July 2024 with many years of insurance experience under my belt. My career has gone from strength to strength, gaining Cert CII status in May 2024.
Over the years I have watched the industry develop, change, fall and rise again, with this comes the desire to be better for our brokers and their clients.
The vision and direction of the business is clear and I am happy to be a part of that.”

Meet the experts you’ll speak to from Sales, Marketing and Support.
“Since joining the team in early 2023, I’ve been nurtured in my growth. I originally joined as a claims handler and am now Alps’ Marketing Executive. I’ve found a passion for weaving creativity and strategy into impactful campaigns and I now head all advertising, design, events, brand and social – so if you ever receive an email or see a post on LinkedIn, it’s probably from me! With the constant support from Alps each week, I am well on my way to becoming a fully confident marketer and I look forward to all I can do for the company.”
“I have been a business development manager here at Alps for around four years now but started working at the company nearly 9 years ago as a claims handler. I enjoy my job immensely, researching and identifying new business opportunities including new markets, areas of growth, trends, building strong relationships with customers and networks and exploring new products and services and finding new ways of reaching existing markets.”
“I joined Alps in July 2024, after doing sales in Manchester for a few months, as a member of the products team to gain knowledge about the variety of products Alps provide to our brokers, and how to support them and keep operations running smoothly with amendments and queries. I then transitioned to sales where I build and continue relationships with brokers and help them to hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to attending networking events and meet brokers face to face. Outside of work I enjoy watching football and basketball, and I’m a keen Man Utd fan.”
“I started working at Alps in February 2024 after having years of customer service experience previously. I naturally bring my problem- solving and empathetic attributes into my Broker Support Role. I enjoy helping Brokers navigate their way through the Communic8 portal, answering queries via telephone /email on a daily basis, and also providing Product Training sessions to support Brokers.”
“After working in customer-orientated roles for the last couple of years, I am eager to learn and grow with the company and the insurance industry. With a passion for supporting our network of brokers, I am committed to providing guidance on our range of products alongside assisting our brokers with any issues that may arise. I enjoy building relationships with our brokers, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed in a dynamic market. Excited about my journey with Alps, I am focused on growing my skills and contributing to the team’s success.”
“I joined Alps in May 2024, bringing knowledge from other areas of the Financial Services industry, having worked for Barclays and thinkmoney before becoming a self-employed Mortgage and Protection adviser. Having also worked in Compliance previously, I enjoy the variety of the role along with the investigative nature of a lot of the work. No two days are ever the same in this role!
Alps very much feels like a family and for me personally, this takes a slightly different meaning as my wife also worked here 14 years ago!”

Claims & legal team
Meet the managers who run the claims teams that assist your clients.
“As Legal Claims Manager, I use my expertise in road traffic litigation to help lead Alps’ legal claims service. I have worked in law firms dealing with road traffic litigation since 2009. When I joined Alps as a fee earner in 2015 I was dealing mainly with injury claims.
The litigation we deal with has evolved over recent years due to layers of industry reforms. I now deal with the likes of Personal Injury, commercial cases and more.”

“With nearly two decades of dedicated service, I bring a wealth of experience and a unique journey to my career at Alps. Having transitioned from a background as a skilled butcher, I have evolved through various roles within the company, showcasing adaptability and commitment.
My diverse roles at Alps have included serving as a claims handler, managing the inhouse hire fleet and building an inhouse repair network, a responsibility that, although no longer active, contributed significantly to my skill set. Presently, I hold the position of Claims Team Manager, where I lead a dynamic team overseeing existing claims.”
